About the Prince George "Charge" ...

Welcome to the United Methodist Churches of Prince George, Virginia

Stained glass window; Actual size=130 pixels wide

Actually we're called the "Prince George Charge." In our United Methodist tradition, a "charge" is composed of several churches served by the same pastor, who travels between churches. This means that you have a choice of three times of worship, three hours for Sunday School and three congregations each Sunday. You can't beat that!

Historically, the Prince George Charge was composed of as many as eight churches since it began in the 1840's, but currently, the charge is comprised of three churches in the heart of Prince George County, VA. You will find more information on each individual church on the separate web pages for Sycamore, Newville, and Salem United Methodist Churches. These are historic churches - good places to put down roots of faith, good places to grow. Surf ahead for locations, times, unique opportunities, and links related to each church. One will be just RIGHT for you.

- Dr. W. David Erickson, pastor
